SchuF Fetterolf has successfully installed the worlds most advanced diverter and control valves in the Shenhua coal liquefaction plant in Inner Mongolia.

Product Launch News, 10 May, 2009

SchuF Fetterolf announced today the launch of a new design diverter valve for Vacuum Distillation Units (VDU).

 

SchuF has today launched a new diverter valve design that eliminates sediment build up in vacuum distillation unit piping and equipment. The VDU Diverter valve replaces the problematic ball valves and t-pieces. It's design is completely dead space free. There are no crevices, nooks, or corners for sediment and debris to settle.

As such the SchuF diverter valve can be seen as a seamless extension of the plant piping....

Press Release - November 18, 2008

SchuF awarded major new Delayed Coking contract

The SchuF Fetterolf Group has been awarded a significant new Delayed Coking contract by a leading Canadian oil and gas company. The new Delayed Coking Unit (DCU) will be built in Montreal and will increase capacity of the refinery by 25,000 barrels per day.

The contract includes multiple thirty inch (30” / DN750) isolation valves with integral draining functionality (ASME 300# to 600# with A217 C12 as the material of construction).

Dr. Martin Frank – CEO of the SchuF Fetterolf Group commented: “We are very pleased with the contract award. We worked very closely with the coking industry over the past 3 years and noted all of the issues that affect traditional coking valve designs. Such issues as high purge steam consumption, reliability, casting quality, proprietary spare parts and functional & operational deficiencies have all been addressed with the new IsoPlug design.”

SchuF will be exhibiting the IsoPlug and SwitchPlug range of coking valves at Coking.com shows and Achema in Frankfurt in May 2009.

SchuF commended as a world leading industrial valve producer

October 29 - SchuF Fetterolf received the acolade of "world leading industrial valve producer" belonging to the best (top 6)companies in the State of Hessen, Germany. The award was sponsored by the State of Hessen, and the Assoaciation of Companies in Hessen.

In an independant study carried out by Professor Bernd Venohr for the German national Handelsblatt newspaper, SchuF has been named as a world leader (position 20) among German companies across all industries. Product News - High Temperature Line Blind

August 11 - SchuF Fetterolf today announced the launch of a new High Temperature (HT) Line Blind system. The HT Cam-Set is proposed for applications with operating temperatures to 1000° F. The previous limit was 650°F. The Group COO Mr. David Donne commented:

 "The Cam-Set was already the safest, fastest and most convenient line blind system to operate on the market . This new model opens up many more applications particularly in the power, oil and gas, and chemical industry."

For temperatures above 1000°F SchuF Fetterolf can offer special customised design models. The HT Cam-Set however integrates an ideal temperature range with convenience, safety and speed of operation.

SchuF receives new mineral processing contract

The SchuF Group has been awarded a major contract to provide piston bottom outlet and disc bottom outlet valves for a new Nickel processing plant to be built in Papua New Guinea.

Nickel will be processed using a high pressure acid leaching process. The SchuF valves will be installed in the feed lines and to drain the autoclaves.

Group CEO Dr. Martin Frank commented "This is the 5th major mineral processing contract that we have received in the past two years. It expands our mineral processing valve technology to cover Nickel, Copper, Alumina, Tungsten Carbide and Gold"

SchuF now provides valves for isolation, control, and draining from low to high pressure acid leaching processes for the mineral processing industry.

Siemens awards SchuF coal gasification valve contract

Siemens has awarded SchuF Germany a contract for a new coal gasification technology. This new gasification process uses coal as a dry feed and the SchuF control valves are used to depressurize the resulting gases in a two stage process.

SchuF is now a leading supplier of feed and let down control valves for the gasification industry having provided solutions for all major gasification processes. These include the Lurgi/Sasol, GE Energy/Texaco, and Shell processes.

SchuF India Inauguration

SchuF celebrated the inauguration of it' state of the art new design and production plant in Coimbatore, India on the 31st of January, 2008. The new plant significantly increases SchuF's worldwide capacity to produce complex and specialised valves for the chemical, oil refinery, polymer and plastics industries. 

Group SchuF CEO Dr. Martin Frank commented:

 "Our choice to locate this plant in India and specifically in Coimbatore is the result of three key factors. First and foremost, it gives us the opportunity to tap into a highly educated, young and ambitious workforce. Secondly, it helps us to have a centre of excellence close to important customers like Reliance and Hindalco. Finally, our India base will serve as a hub for further expansion in Asia".

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several important guests including Dr. Kohli of Reliance and Mr. Joshi of Aker Kaverner India.
